This week SGB and the other Grade 6 classes are beginning a new Project called “Countries of the World”. Each student has a country to research and investigate. Each student will create a poster and then team up with students from other classes to share their knowledge and prepare to present their information to the School Community on the Expo Day to be held on the 17th of September. Kids will have the opportunity to present Dances, wear National Costumes and even provide some samples of traditional foods from their country!
National Geographic Kids is a very good site to visit to get some helpful information.
This week SGB are learning about angles. This is an excellent link to practice using a protractor. http://www.teacherled.com/resources/anglemeasure/anglemeasureload.html
Check out this site and write a summary of the important information it provides. Find how a cyclone is formed and the different categories for cyclones?
Welcome to the new year in SGB. I hope it is filled with fun, inspiration and learning. Mr B
